Litchfield, 75, of Marengo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2022. He was born December 7, 1947 in Evanston to Rex and Margaret Litchfield. Dick graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1966. Dick was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years at Plote Construction in Elgin. He was a lifetime member of Local 150 Operating Engineers. When he was not working, Dick could be found tinkering in his barn, fixing lawnmowers, cars, and tractors.

After raising her boys, she went on to work for Meals on Wheels for 35 years. She was a member and leader at Granite United Church for 33 years. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, infectious smile, and for giving the best hugs. She also had a knack for interior design and loved to help others decorate their homes.
She and Edward Stewart were married on March 15, 1980 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2007. Mrs. Stewart Atkins was employed by Wal Mart Stores, Inc. in St. Louis and Litchfield as a cashier and stock clerk. She was born in St. Louis, MO February 6, 1947, a daughter of William and Elsie Stubblefield.
